The UK hosts Round 3 of the 2025 campaign as the title race ramps up in the Yamaha R3 BLU CRU World Cup

The iconic Donington Park circuit in the United Kingdom hosts the third round of the 2025 FIM Yamaha R3 BLU CRU World Cup this weekend, and with the championship battle heating up ahead of the mid-way point in the season after two nail-biting encounters in Misano.

Alessandro di Persio (Italy) made hay while the sun shone in Italy, taking a double victory at his home round to catapult himself into the championship lead. He sits four points clear of the USA’s Chris Clark, who recovered from a poor qualifying at the Emilia Romagna round to return to the podium in Sunday’s second race. In 2024, Di Persio won and finished third in Donington’s two races, so will be hoping to extend his advantage this weekend.

Race winner in the opening round, Mario Salles (Brazil) sits third in the standings just 5 points off the lead, with Arai Agaska of Indonesia fifth as he searches for his first win of the year having been on the podium twice in the opening two rounds.

Teppei Kugawa (Japan) completes a truly international top six in the standings ahead of Round 3, 24 points off Di Persio’s lead.

Having taken to the podium for the first time in Misano, Jean Kento Turner (Japan) will be looking to make his way up the rankings, while Aymon Bocanegra (Brazil).

The weekend’s activity gets underway with Free Practice first thing on Friday morning ahead of Superpole qualifying on Friday afternoon. The two races will take place at 16:15 on both Saturday and Sunday and can be watched LIVE on the Yamaha Racing YouTube here.
